I am attempting to relactate to BF our baby that is due August 10 (but could arrive ANY DAY now). BM is my best friend. The reason I say "re-lactate" is that on May 28th, our son was stillborn. My milk came in full force, and I was forced to let it "dry up" (as we weren't considering adopting at that time).

I am looking at the "pump in style" for a pump. Is that pump okay? I will be ordering Dom. this week, but I am wondering if I need the other meds too.

I would prefer not to supllement. The LC I have talked to don't know much about ABF. The one I did talk to that knew a lot about relactation said she thinks I have an EXCELLENT chance of exclusively BF. She told me that since it hs been less than three months since our baby was born, that I have mther nature on my side. How true is that?

I am scared and excited. Any advice is truly appreciated!

Thanks,
Heather

I'll defer to the LCs for your other questions, but yes, the pump in style is the one recommended for what you are trying to do. Good luck!

I would email Lenore directly. I am not sure having you do the BCP protocol will be the most beneficial My initial thought is adding Domperidone, adding the herbs and pumping may do the trick for you. There are many moms who have stopped nursing for whatever reason and relactated after months. So by all means yes you have an excellent opportunity for a full supply. Lenore is the expert so please email her. Just click on the contact us at the bottom of the page.
