Hello:
Our baby is approaching 6 weeks old and is doing well. She's so cute! Please see her picture in the Photo Gallery.

I'm over the viral bronchitis and am starting to get my strength back. I've settled in to a routine with my breastfeeding. Basically, I'm breastfeeding her 2 - 3 times per day and using the bottle for the rest. I pump once in the evening unless she's right there next to me, in which case I breastfeed her again. She has a good nutritive suck and is able to get all the milk out. She isn't as sleepy now.

There are times when she is quietly sucking and I think that she's just "suckling" but then a drop of milk spills down her cheek so she's still drawing my milk.

I'm happy with our pattern. And I'm enjoying breastfeeding. I hope to increase my supply slowly over time but I'm not going to get stressed out over performance.

All is well here.
Take care,

Karie that is fabulous. Have you thought of getting a lact-aid and using that? It will help your supply to have her at the breast as much as possible. It is a great alternative for supplementing without a bottle.
