Missed two days of meds because of vomiting. Is it normal for milk supply to decrease temporarily and will it go back to where it was? Also switching from reglan (finally) to dom, is there a gradual way, or should I just continue same dosing? Thanks, Helen

Your supply should pick back up. I am not sure about switching from reglam to dom. and how to do that but I am sure Lenore or Nona will be along to answer that.

OMG! You poor thing! You missed your meds because of vomiting? Domperidone was originally designed as an anti-emetic (anti-vomiting medication). It would have helped you to take it.

Anyway, not to worry, just get back on track and you should be fine. Be sure to replenish your lost fluids and electrolytes. Maybe get some gatorade or pedialyte to assist you. You may want to talk to your doctor about this.

When switching from Reglan to Domperidone the medications are not the same and the dosages are not the same. The starting dose for domperidone that the doctors in our clinic prescribe is 10 mg 4 times per day for the first week and then increase to 20 mg 4 times per day. You'll need to talk this over with your doctor.

I hope you're feeding better soon!

Best,
