We had a WIC appointment and they gave me my Medela pump!! It's a PIS, but they call it a WIC In Style. The instructions say it's called a Medela Personal Double Electric. I'll stop the Yasmin sometime next week and have been on the dom for about 2 weeks now. I'm so excited to start pumping to see if there is any milk in there yet!!! Wish me luck!! I love the support of the women on this board. Thank you all!

Saige how long have you been on the yasmin? Ideally you should be on both together for at least 30 days.
I am glad you got your pump!!!!

Yah, I started both the Yasmin and dom 2 weeks ago. So, do you think I should go get the Yasmin refill and continue taking another pack? I'm skipping the placebos, obviously. I was hoping to get away with only 21 pills and then start pumping. Should I take 42 pills? This Yasmin is making me so tired I can't barely stay awake around 4pm. It's also $40/pack and my stupid ins. doesn't cover it.

I called Medela today and they confirmed that this pump is the PIS Original made exclusively for WIC. I see a lot of them on eBay, too in case anybody needs a PIS pump for an even more discounted price!!!

Hi Saige,

Yes, the PIS and the WIC are essentially the same pump. 21 days of Yasmin is not typically enough time. 30 days is truly the minimum and 42 days would be better. As for your fatigue, it's likely the domperidone that is causing it and is a typcial effect of the increase in your prolactin. You can feel free to drink coffee or consume cafeinated beverages while on the protocol.

Best,
