Here's an update. I have been pumping for 2 1/2 weeks after being on the reg.protocol. I am taking all recommended pills. I was pumping every 3 hrs and once at night, but was only getting in 7 pumpings that way. For the past three or four days, I have been pumping every 2 hours and once at night totalling about 9 times/24 hrs.
Here's the problem... it seems like my supply is slightly down. I wake up on my own at night due to discomfort and the need to pump to relieve pressure, but yet, I get hardly anything out and the pressure is not relieved. I can usually get about 1/2 ounce per sitting. Today, I pumped and only got drops. Two hours later, feeling engorged still, I pumped again and got nothing out of the one side and drops out of the other. What is going on? I feel like I am going backwards instead of forwards and am very frustrated. My breasts are sore and I know that there is milk in there that needs to come out. I cannot go in the shower every two hours. (That does seem to help a little). I have no reddened areas and do not feel fluish. Why can't I get this milk out? The occasional pumping will yield a full ounce, but my breasts are crying out for relief!
I would appreciate some advice. I have done, massage, jiggles, warm cloths, baby thoughts, etc.....
