This post is just for fun - I have read that we are supposed to eat oatmeal for increased milk production -should we start ASAP or only when starting to pump?

Does anyone have any yummy recipes for oatmeal - so far I've been eating packets but can't do that 3x week! Any ideas?

Oatmeal is just good for you!! Eat it now if you like but definitely eat it when you start pumping because it is good for production.

Oatmeal cookies and oatmeal bars are actually good too. As long as the extra calories won't bother you Go for it. Even lots of brown sugar doesn't counter effect the goodness of Oatmeal.

I add apples, cinnamon and brown sugar sometimes. Frozen or fresh berries in there as well. Oatmeal is a comfort food to me. I don't mind it at all - thank goodness. As for other recipes.... without tons of calories added, I'm not much help.
