Hello

A health care professional suggested recently that I try expressing by hand as the nipples will get more stimulation. I didn't actually think I could express anything by hand but after yesterdays pumping sessions I tried and got as much by hand as I do from the pump/stroke/jiggle/pump - although I should add that I only produce one of two droplets at each session. So my question is, should I keep getting the last droplets out in this way? Could this help my supply increase?

I should add that I am on dom, goat's rue, pumping every two hours (about to start night pumping) and I'm waiting for my blessed thistle herb and fenugreek to arrive -can't wait to start it!

Thanks

Kim.

Hi

I am still expressing the last drops and I've started the night pumping and there seems to be an increase. Yeah! But I just can't wait for the day when I get enough milk to fall into the bottles!

Am I doing the right think by expressing by hand. There's nothing in the protocol about this so I'm wondering if it might be too early for this?

Help!

Any replies gratefully received <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />

I have heard Lenore say it is fine to express by hand after pumping.

Thanks so much for that Lalle.

It's great to know I'm on the right road and not doing anything that'll harm the overall result.

Thank you for replying - I guess it's really late in the States as it's early morning in the UK! <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />
