After 3 years of being on the yasmin/dom protocol, we have been matched with a baby that is due on May 5th. I stopped the yasmin this past Tuesday and started pumping. Today is day 4. I am pumping 8x24hours for 20min. each time. I am already pumping 1+ ounces a day. But?.. AF had reared her ugly head and I am very uncomfortable. I have continued taking 80 dom, and fenugreek 3x3 day. I will buy blessed thistle today and start that. Is it normal to get AF? I guess I should have expected it after being on the protocol for 3 years.

Thank you for your responses.

Congrats on your Match!!!!

I did the accelerated protocol and got my af back right away. Some women do not get theirs back for awhile and others do. You may have it and then see it dissappear again. Yes, both are totally normal.
Remember you tricked your body into thinking it was pregnant andsince you stopped the pill it is like having delivered. So af is normal and this first one maybe heavy and last longer than yours normally would.

Thank you so much for your quick response. I really appreciate it. It's good to know I'm normal :-)

When I induced lactation in 2001, I did the acclerated protocol and when I stopped I never got AF. Actually I didn't get it for 1 year.

I guess I was unlucky this time.

Thanks again, Lisa.

Lisa,

Did you really mean you took Yasmin and Dom three YEARS? I didn't know you could take it that long?
