Okay, I don't know if this can happen, but do some women produce more milk, or just as much without dom than with? I have been really struggling to maintain a full supply for my 4 week old daughter, taking dom 4x a day and eating tons of protein and drinking lots of water. Yesterday, I left the dom at home by mistake, and felt quite full. I am experimenting and haven't taken it today, and still feel like I have a lot of milk.

I thought that if you wanted to discontinue dom; you were supposed to take one pill less each week so as to be gradual so you could add it back if your supply went down.

I wouldn't think that your supply would drop overnight but I'm sure you would see a reduction over the next week or so.

Patience

You are supposed to ease off of it gradually. I wouldn't cut out the dom right now. It could have been that while you were away from home you were not nursing as often etc... and felt full. I also think the first growth spurt is coming up so I definitely wouldn't quit the dom. Often you don't see the results of something changing in your diet etc.. for a couple days so you may find in a day or two your supply has really dropped. I advise you stay on the dom. I also haven't heard of anyone producing more without than they did with it. I didn't gicve up the dom until my DD was taking other food in at family meals.

oh my.. if your having problems maintaining your supply I would definetly NOT stop the domperidone. You will probably see a crash in your supply. That is to devastating.
