I wish I would have found this site a few months ago! The baby we are adopting is due tomorrow and I still don't have any milk. I started pumping and taking fenugreek and blessed thistle 4 weeks ago. I only get a drop of milk from each side. I've been pumping every 2 hours during the day and waking up once to pump at night. I tried reglan for a couple days but became extremely anxious and depressed and had to go off it. I live in the US and my doctor will not write a script for domperidone. Should I try to buy it online? If so, where? I also bought a lact-aid and plan to use that, but I really didn't want to use formula. I had tons and tons of milk with my 2 biological children, and my milk came in with a baby I miscarried at 16 weeks, so I though this would be easier. Any help would be much appreciated! Thanks!!

Katie I would order the dom. Are you open to trying the protocol for 30 days? You could go on it and nurse baby with your lact-aid while you are taking the bcp and dom.
I had 2 bio children whom I had nursed but it had been 11 years when my adopted DD was born. I tried just herbs and a lact-aid system, it went okay (we were at the breast at least), I added dom and things picked up some. I finally went on the accelerated protocol and we could totally give up the nurser. If I had it to do over again I would go straight on the protocol.

Thank you for the advice! I ordered the domperidone online yesterday. It should be here in 7-14 days. I think I will try that before trying birth control. In the past, I didn't do well with birth control pills. I haven't noticed any change with the herbs. Should I keep taking them? I'm really hoping that the domperidone will do the trick. Thanks!!

You may want to add Goats Rue. It takes the place of the bcp for those women who are not able to take it.
